28 States in 28 days (24 driving), 7,000 miles
A
brand-new event on the Rally the Globe
calendar will take us from charming
Cape Cod just south of Boston in New
England through the thriving heart of America
before finishing 28 days later in historic
Savannah, Georgia. The route touches all five
of the Great Lakes, takes us to three decidedly
different music meccas, and criss-crosses
dozens of unique American subcultures.
Competition isn’t forgotten with numerous
tests at famous and not so famous tracks
on the agenda, as well as challenging
regularities, many of them on smooth
gravel roads off the beaten track.
Starting south of Boston we follow the coast
steeped in maritime history before heading
inland. We are soon in the heart of the region
and autumn colours should be at their most
spectacular as we head west through New
Hampshire, Vermont and New York State
where we spend our fifth night on the road
in the Fingers Lakes wine area.
