After an easy two days the Organisers had decided
to return to first principles today, with a liberal
dose of endurance. Whilst the distance was not
unreasonable, a lot was packed into the 130km,
and demanded much from the crews across some
spectacular countryside and tricky competitive
sections.
Heavy overnight rain made for a steamy start to our first
day on Kyushu. However, rather appropriately given the
amount of water, the Dam Fine Road Regularity took
us across and up into the warm mist and thick bamboo
alongside the Serigawa reservoir.
Ippon Kunugi Speedway had the distinction of hosting the
day’s Test, where two laps of rustically simple roadside track
gave the drivers the chance to leave some rubber on the road
