Saturday morning, on the fringes of the Picos de Europa, saw lines of hunters looking for boar and a line
of rally cars looking to snatch back some seconds from the last day of El Clavel. With the sun not quite
making it into the deeper valleys, the hills rang out with the sounds of the chase, barking engines and
squealing brakes, on the way to the Route Check in El Soplao.
This led to the final two Tests of the event, at the superb Karting La Roca circuit, featuring virtually everything from the
track-racing lexicon, climbs and descents, straights and corners, perfectly designed to test the fine line between ambition
and talent, horsepower and grip.
